Some states have really weird laws that baffle residents. It seems Colorado is one of them. While the laws may not really be enforced in modern times, they are still written and in effect. Here are some unbelievable and whacko laws in the state of Colorado.

  • Apparently, it is not only illegal to drink and drive but also to ride a horse under the influence of alcohol. Oh, and it’s also illegal to fish from the back of your horse as well.
  • Going skiing can sometimes result in falls. However, when you are skiing and wipe out, be sure not the hit any of the obstacles or you will be breaking the law in Vail, Colorado.
  • Ever thought about launching a missile? Obviously, that’s illegal, but did you know it’s also illegal to throw a missile at a car in Alamosa?
  • In Sterling, do not even think about letting your cat outside without a proper tail light put on him or her.
  • If you are out for a walk and see a rock that you really just feel like destroying, don’t. It is illegal to mutilate a rock in the state of Colorado.
  • Own a black car and live in or traveling to Denver? You might want to reconsider if you are taking your black car out for a spin on a Sunday in Denver. If the cops want to, they can pull you over as it’s illegal to drive a black car on Sundays in Denver.
  • If you like to sit out on the front porch and watch the neighbors and passing cars, don’t even think about putting a couch out there. In Boulder, Colorado, this is illegal.
  • Heading to Aspen for a quick trip? If you feel the need to get a catapult and launch it toward a building, don’t. This would be an illegal activity in Aspen.
  • Did your vacuum break, and do you want to borrow your neighbor’s? Don’t even think about it. It is illegal to let your neighbors borrow it in Denver.
  • Living in Pueblo is fine, but not if you have a yard full of dandelions. It is illegal to have and grow dandelions anywhere in Pueblo, Colorado city limits.
  • In Logan County, a man should not even think about kissing a woman while she is asleep. This is an illegal activity and should be avoided at all costs in this Colorado county.
