7 Weird Laws In Nevada

If you live in Nevada, they have some crazy laws that you might not know about yet. You have to be careful and follow the laws so you don’t end up getting in unexpected trouble. Here are seven weird laws in Nevada that you might not know.
- You can’t pawn something while intoxicated. Being intoxicated and pawning things are both things that happen a lot in the state of Nevada. If you plan to pawn something, make sure that you haven’t been drinking.
- Don’t swear while on public streets in Las Vegas. This is a crazy law because we have all done that one. People are having a good time on vacation, and sometimes a curse word is going to come out. Do you know that you can get in trouble for it, though, if it happens?
- According to Section 11.68.100 of the Las Vegas Code of Ordinances, you can’t hula hoop on Fremont Street. So many performers are here, so it is kinda odd that one isn’t allowed. The law says, “The use of unicycles, bicycles and other types of cycles, skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates, hula hoops larger than four feet in diameter, and shopping carts, except as authorized by The Fremont Street Experience Limited Liability Company in connection with special events and mall entertainment.”
- Don’t ride a camel on the highway. This is illegal in Nevada and can get you in trouble.
- You can’t spit on sidewalks while in Downtown Las Vegas. Now other areas of Nevada, it is fine, but don’t do it while in the Downtown area at all.
- Toy cars can only be ridden on sidewalks. This is to keep little kids from getting hit. The thing is a lot of the time parents will go for a walk with their child and let them take their little car. Well you must stay on the sidewalk if you are going to do this or you can be in trouble.
- Don’t pawn your dentures in Las Vegas. Yes, you read that right. I honestly have no idea why anyone would want to pawn their dentures or someone else’s for that matter, but just don’t do it. This is illegal.
Are you shocked by these strange laws in Nevada? Have you broken the law without even realizing it? Will you be more careful if you are in the area now? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts.
