Bringing Up Bates stars Gil and Kelly Jo Bates are back on social media to share big updates about Mama Jane and Papa Bill. Many fans have been worried about the Bates grandparents following Alyssa’s previous vlog. The sixth Bates child flew to South Carolina last month to look after her grandparents because they were sick. Recently, Gil finally shared a glimpse of his parents. Bringing Up Bates: Alyssa Bates Commended For Looking After Mama Jane & Papa Bill
Earlier in March, Alyssa took to YouTube to share her bittersweet separation from her husband and daughters. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she will be leaving her girls to John Webster while she and Rhett fly to South Carolina to watch over Mama Jane and Papa Bill. She stayed with her sick grandparents for four days. While their illness wasn’t revealed, many fans commended Alyssa for her efforts in looking after her grandparents. She cooked for them and even cleaned their entire house.
- “Alyssa and her grandparents have a special bond. I’m glad she got to spend time with them away from all the chaos of the entire Bates family being there.”

Gil and Kelly Jo Share Rare Glimpse Of Mama Jane & Papa Bill
Kelly Jo recently took to social media to share an update about their busy week. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, the Bates family was at the farm last week with Mama Jane and Papa Bill. She even shared pictures of her kids taking photos with their grandparents by hugging and cuddling with them. “Our trips there get sweeter & sweeter, & every day even more of a treasure than the day before! Can’t wait to come back! Love you both so much, Papa Bill & Mama Jane!” the mother of 19 added.

Mama Jane and Papa Bill also showed big smiles in many of their photos, showing that they finally got their strength back. They also had so much fun watching Gil and Kelly Jo play with the kids while they were at the farm. Some fans also left positive messages for the married couple, thanking them for sharing updates about the grandparents.

Bringing Up Bates: Gil & Kelly Jo Bates Have Been Busy
Gil and Kelly Jo recently revealed that they went on a trip to Costa Rica with some of their kids, answering all the questions about their sudden absence on some family occasions, especially Alyssa’s big birthday party for her daughters. Some thought that the Bringing Up Bates stars were looking after Tori, who’s expected to welcome her fifth child sometime soon.
Kelly Jo Bates also said that it was a “sad goodbye” because of the new friends and memories they have made in Costa Rica. “It was a trip we will never forget, along with the precious faces of our sweet new friends!” she added.
