A Tennessee teenager is accused of attempting to murder a man with a plunger and then leaving him to die. So, why would anyone do something so cruel, and was there more to the story? Keep reading for more details on this terrifying situation.
Teenager Accused Of Attempted Plunger Murder
Teenagers are supposed to be out having fun, working, and going to school. Yet, sometimes, they stray and do the unthinkable, which is exactly what happened with Charles Coffman. The nineteen-year-old is being charged with aggravated kidnapping, attempted second-degree murder, and tampering with evidence. These are all serious charges, but what exactly happened? Apparently, Charles was asked to go pick up a three-year-old by the toddler’s mother. He took an Uber to the home where he came face to face with a man, whom he proceeded to attack. This all went down in Tennessee, and it is unclear how Charles knew the mother.
Once the altercation began, Charles appeared to have the intention of killing his victim. He started by throwing him to the ground and proceeded to punch him in the face. Charles then took a plunger to continue the abuse and shoved it into the man’s mouth. However, the torture did not end there as Charles brought the victim into the bathroom. He then stripped all of the man’s clothing off and proceeded to pour bleach on him where he had been hurt. As for the child, they had been kidnapped by Charles.
He not only kidnapped the toddler but also stole a Ford Expedition from the victim. This was discovered when a 4 am wellness check was conducted to check on the man. He was found beaten, with head injuries, clearly suffering and helpless. As for the mother of the toddler, she claims that she had no idea who Charles was, and that they had never chatted. More so, she noted that she would not have permitted him to take her kid, no matter what.
The End Result
When all was said and done, the victim, who had been beaten and tortured with a plunger, had many injuries. He also had a subdural hematoma, but what about the little one who had been kidnapped? They were found with Charles and another woman, although their identity remains unknown. Furthermore, it is unclear why Charles did this and if he had a motive. As of now, he is sitting at the Knox County Jail with no set bail. The child was taken for an evaluation to ensure that they were okay. Those who saw what happened begged the judge to deny any sort of bail. They felt he should remain locked up and for good reason:
- I am asking the judge to deny this man bail. He is a clear n present danger to people. He needs a evaluation of his mental stability.
- From the looks of it he was a problem child.
It seems that Charles has a past, as he went missing a few years back. One follower found the story and immediately sensed that there was more to his story.
