It is extremely hot right now, with summer beginning on Friday, June 20th. With that in mind, everyone needs to be extremely mindful and cautious, not just for themselves but for the well-being of others. Animal owners tend to leave their pets in the car while they run and do quick tasks. They believe cracking a window can fix everything, but that is not the case. Not only should animals never be left unattended, but this goes without saying: never leave your child in a hot car, no matter the circumstances.
A Florida-based father has been arrested for leaving his eighteen-month-old son in a scorching hot vehicle. Why did he do this, and where was he headed? Scott Allen Gardner left his son, Sebastian, in the car so that he could get a haircut and go drinking. The thirty-three-year-old was arrested on Thursday, June 19th, and has been charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and child neglect causing great bodily harm. Sebastian was inside the car for three hours, with his body temperature reaching 111 degrees.
Police have since spoken out about the incident, and it is sick and sad, the more details that are revealed:
“Gardner is responsible for the death of his 18-month-old son Sebastian, who was left helpless in a hot truck for more than 3 hours on the afternoon of Friday, June 6, while Gardner got a haircut and then went drinking inside Hanky Panky’s Lounge.”
The father also allegedly kept changing his story of what happened that day, which made everything so much worse. He was lying while speaking to the police, and that hurt his already horrid case. There has been nothing mentioned about the toddler having a mother, and what the extended family has to say about this.

Therefore, if Sebastian was okay, he would have been driving under the influence. No one can understand how someone could do this to any child, and are heartbroken.
