  3. Maltese dogs are known for being gentle and loving. They are known to be symbols of beauty and grace. These dogs are also able to adapt to their environments, so this makes them perfect for houses or apartments.
  4. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is another precious breed that will stay under 18 pounds. They are affectionate and will also do their best to cheer you up on those rough days. They love to cuddle and will be loyal companions.
  5. Toy Poodle is another breed that will remain small throughout their entire life. They are elegant little dogs but can also be playful. They love learning new tricks and are very smart.
  6. Havanese is another little breed of dog that would make an excellent companion. They weigh seven to thirteen pounds and love to play. These dogs do not shed much and they usually only bark at alarming noises. They will keep their owners entertained and loved.
