There are many things that can be turn-offs for both women and men. Knowing what these are and how not to do them is key to making a relationship work. Doing some of these things can give your partner the ick and possibly drive a wedge between you. Below are ten huge turn-offs for men.

  1. Rudeness is a big turn-off for both sexes. Having good manners can go a long way in keeping a man’s attention. Playing hard to get can be okay but do not be rude about it.
  2. Immaturity is not a good thing. Men like to have fun but they also want a woman who is a grown-up in certain situations. Showing constant immaturity is a good way to make him turn his nose down at this particular woman.
  3. Phone Addiction is another huge turn-off for men. Women are probably on their phones more than men. However, being on it while with them on a date or when they are trying to have a conversation with you is a big no-no. Don’t be so self-absorbed that you can’t stop, put your phone down, and give your man some attention.
  4. Complaining also never tends to go over well. Men and women both do not like being around complainers. It’s okay to be upset about something occasionally. However, showing constant unhappiness and complaining 24/7 is a big turn-off for most men.
  5. Nagging is another turn-off for men. Most men want to do things on their own terms and not because their partner is nagging them to do it. It’s okay to ask them nicely once to do something, but do not keep continually bringing it up.
  6. Selfishness is another big turn-off for men. Men want someone who is caring, nurturing and giving. Showing that you are self-absorbed and only care about yourself can quickly get you sent out the door.
  7. Bad Hygiene is another big one. Men want a partner who cares about their appearance and takes care of themselves. Making an effort to look nice and smell great for your partner is a surefire way to keep their attention.
  8. Don’t let him always be the one to initiate intimacy. Men do not want to be the person who is always initiating things in the bedroom. Show him you want to be with him too and make some effort to keep things alive and exciting.
  9. Don’t diss his friends. Men also do not like it when women diss on their friends. Be supportive and get to know them. Maybe you are not giving them a chance. They could be the nicest friends ever.
  10. Don’t overtext him. Some men do not want a text from their partner every five minutes. Most women are much more into their phones and talking all the time than men. Texting him constantly can be a huge turn-off and cause issues in your relationship.

There are many turn-offs that bother men. Take the time to recognize these and make an effort not to do them. Knowing these can help in the long run and help make your relationship a success.
