Counting On: Jinger Duggar Opens Up About Cult-Like Teachings
In a social media post, Counting On star Jinger Duggar shared a clip from her recent interview where she talks about the “cult-like” teachings of Bill Gothard, the founder Institute in Basic Life Principles, which is the religion that the Duggar family follows. According to Jinger, Bill has a lot of specific teachings that they should follow back in the day, and most of them aren’t even thought of in the bible. Jinger also revealed that Bill never had a wife or kids. However, he often claims to have all the answers that everyone seeks. Jinger later said that it took her some time before she realized that Bill wasn’t a bible teacher.
Will It Affect Jinger’s Relationship With The Duggars?
The Duggar family has been a follower of IBLP for a long time. Due to this, many are worried that Jinger Duggar’s recent revelation may affect her relationship with her family in Arkansas. At this point, Counting On stars Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar have yet to share their comments regarding Jinger’s recent interview. However, some of the Duggars have shown support for Jinger’s recent actions. One of them is Jill Duggar, who’s been estranged from the Duggar family for years.

However, Jinger has already made it clear that she no longer follows some of the Duggar family’s traditions, especially when it comes to how she dresses. Some fans also took to Jinger’s comments section to praise her outfit. Others also think Jinger is starting to become an inspiration to some of her siblings to shy away from their strict dress codes.
