Father Killed In Crocodile Attack

Crocodile attacks take the lives of around one thousand people every year. That is a highly concerning amount, and it does not even include simple bites. Recently, a father of four was killed in a crocodile attack as he was bathing in the Bulete River. This is located in Indonesia, and the man was just fifty-three years old. In the early evening of August 14th, 2025, onlookers watched as Arifuddin was in the river with his family. It was then that a crocodile bit his leg and dragged him underwater.

Onlookers not only watched and screamed for help, but others jumped right in to try and save Arifuddin. Unfortunately, he was pulled away by the crocodile and was eventually found by a rescue crew. The sight was highly disturbing as the crocodile still had a grasp on Arifuddin. Tragically, he was deceased, and they now had to safely recover the remains. That was the work of onlookers who jumped into action, which was around a mile from where he had initially been bitten. His family now has the body and is preparing to say goodbye to him.

It has been reported that Indonesia had nearly 200 crocodile attacks in 2024 alone, which is an immensely high number. Therefore, the father being a casualty further amplifies this amount, and makes the rivers and waters incredibly scary.

It Won’t Stop

There is an influx of crocodiles as of now due to specific pathways, so this number is likely to keep growing. Sadly, the father of four has had to pay a price for simply enjoying a day with his family. He leaves behind his four children, but it is unclear if he had a wife or a partner. After followers saw this story, they had mixed reactions. Some stated that this was a horrid way to die, while others believed that the crocodile cannot be blamed. It was simply doing what it thought was right based on the environment:

  • And of course ALL blame will be on the croc for his natural instincts.
  • If people know there are crocodiles in these waters, why do they risk their lives. The same with the ocean. Swim in a pool. It is much safer.
  • What a horrible way to die and a horrible thing to witness

Undoubtedly, this is not something those who saw it all go down will forget anytime soon. Are you shocked by how this went down, and did you know that crocodile attacks were so prevalent? Let us know in the comments below.
