Pro Soccer Player Accused Of Raping 3 Women
A professional soccer player has been accused of raping three women, and is being charged with five counts of rape. So, who was, and when did this all go down? More so, what consequences could the athlete face? Keep reading for more details.
Pro Soccer Player Accused Of Raping 3 Women
Three women have come forward and are accusing former professional soccer player, Thomas Partey, of rape. He played for the Arsenal Football Club as a midfielder, but now his world has come crashing down. Between 2021 and 2022, Thomas allegedly raped three women and has now been charged with five counts as of July 4th, 2025. He has also been charged with one count of sexual assault and will head to court in August 2025. Thomas played for five years, from 2020 through 2025; however, he is vehemently denying any wrongdoing. More so, he is ready and willing to let everyone know that these are false accusations.
It has been alleged that Thomas raped one woman two times, the second three times, and sexually assaulted the final one. As of now, it is unclear why the women waited so long to come forward, but either way, this is happening. When Thomas joined the Arsenal Football Club, he was transferred for over $60 million, which is a huge amount. He is also a three-time winner of the Ghana Player of the Year award, which he is immensely proud of. Now, Thomas must clear his name of any and all charges.
As the investigation is ongoing, there is a request for more information regarding the soccer player and the rapes. More so, if there are additional women who have been victims, they want to hear from them. Many women are afraid to speak up and out, but the fact that three have come forward may make it somewhat easier. Those who have heard about the story are very torn as they want to believe the victims.
A Rock & A Hard Place
Followers of the Thomas Partey story feel that professional athletes may act out and think that they won’t get caught. However, it has been acknowledged that false claims can be made, and are hopeful that this is not the case. No one is invincible, and if the former professional soccer player did this, he should pay the price:
- If it’s true, it’s horrible but if they are lies then that’s worse because there are gold diggers out there. Don’t presume the outcome.
- It’s sad the number of Pro athletes think they can ‘getaway with it’? Because of who they are.
Either way, no one wins in this. Thomas’ name has been splattered negatively all over for something he may or may not have done. The slander can hurt him emotionally and monetarily. At the same time, if this proves to be true, that is despicable behavior. Time will tell what will happen and who will prevail.
