Last November, Carlin took to social media to announce that she’s sending Zade to speech therapy. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, her son has been experiencing delays in his speaking and understanding skills. Carlin and Evan also revealed that they switched to a new pediatrician with a more convenient distance from their home. Carlin has been worried about her son’s ability to speak, especially at his age. Since then, Carlin has kept Zade’s progress private. But her latest video of him indicates that he’s doing better in his therapy.

Carlin Bates Stewart recently took to IG to share an adorable clip with Evan as they try to test Zade’s awareness. The Bringing Up Bates star set up three covered plates on the table for each of them. When they removed the cover, Carlin had one donut while Zade had two. However, Zade’s father doesn’t have a donut. But what Zade did next touched many people’s hearts. Zade offered his second donut to his father, saying that he had two. He happily handed it to his dad, and many fans commended Carlin for her incredible parenting. It’s also noticeable that Zade’s speech and understanding have become much better.
