Mama Jane’s recovery from cancer has resulted in her missing several Bates family events. One of them was their annual “I Love You Day,” which happened last March. It was also the same month when Kelly Jo visited Mama Jane and uploaded a video with her, asking fans for prayers. According to Kelly Jo, her mother-in-law is going through a 5-week radiation treatment.
The Bringing Up Bates star also shared that Mama Jane already got so weak from her first radiation treatment, and she worries her body may get even weaker in the coming weeks. It’s been quite some time since Kelly Jo last shared an update about Mama Jane. Fortunately, Katie recently visited her grandparents to share updates about their health.
Mama Jane Resurfaces With Grandkids & Great-Grandkids Amid Cancer Battle
Katie Bates Clark recently took to IG Stories to share clips and pictures with Mama Jane. Katie and her kids visited Mama Jane in South Carolina. The Bringing Up Bates shared a heartwarming video of Mama Jane singing along with her great-grandkids, showing that her health is improving after her difficult radiation treatment.
She was also covered in a blanket to beat the cold. Hailey did her best to make her great-grandmother smile. According to Katie, watching her babies make memories with their great-grandparents is such a special gift. Katie didn’t exactly share how Mama Jane’s treatment has been going. But she also uploaded a photo of Mama Jane and Papa Bill having lunch with them while sitting on a walker, showing that their age is taking a toll on their mobility.
Bringing Up Bates: Katie Bates Gets Emotional On Brother Lawson’s Tribute
Katie Bates Clark also uploaded a photo of Mama Jane and Papa Bill’s iconic house in her IG Stories with a background music of Lawson’s latest tribute song for Papa Bill, “When We Say Goodbye.” The Bringing Up Bates star shared three crying emojis, showing that she’s one of many family members who got emotional with Lawson’s heartwarming tribute for his grandfather.
Papa Bill has been going through dementia over the past few months. But Lawson wanted to cherish every moment with him and created a song to remind everyone to spend time with their loved ones while they’re still alive. Lawson has also been thriving in his music career and recently performed the National Anthem during a huge baseball game in Tennessee.
