Counting On alum Josh Duggar is still facing controversies amid his time in jail. The 36-year-old’s prison cell was previously caught with a contraband, leading to a new warden who promised to lay punishment if they were caught again. Josh also spent his birthday in March behind bars. But many were surprised that his wife, Anna, was nowhere to be found. Counting On: Josh Duggar’s Recent Appeal
One of the latest updates from Josh was about his latest attempt to overturn his case. According to reports, the Counting On alum filed for certiorari to the Supreme Court, which is a request to have a higher court review a decision made by a lower court. The results have yet to be revealed. Some people think Josh and his dad, Jim Bob Duggar, are just wasting money at this point. Josh’s legal team has made multiple attempts to save him from prison. But all of their appeals ended in rejection.
Why Fans Think Josh Will Leave Anna First
Some Redditors discussed the possibility that Josh would leave Anna first. According to the poster, Anna has proven that she will never leave Josh, despite all the horrible things that he did. The Reddit user also believes that the Counting On alum was brainwashed into obeying her husband for life and may even accept if Josh decides to enter polygamy after prison. However, some commenters think Anna may not go too far into polygamy, especially since the IBLP is heavily against it. However many believe that Josh Duggar may end up being the one who files for divorce.

In November 2023, the Counting On alum was spotted with some of her kids during her grandfather’s funeral. Many were surprised to see her looking happy, while others couldn’t help but adore her grown-up children. There are also reports that Anna Duggar is still living with the Duggar family, though she hasn’t been on good terms with some of the Duggar kids who want Josh to suffer in prison, especially the Duggar cousin, Amy.
