Angela had a controversial start to her weight loss journey. She refused to follow Dr. Now’s rules and even badmouthed his diet plan. Her condition got worse, and she had to do something. The bariatric surgeon found out that she’d been taking drugs amid her programs. She only lost 49 lbs and failed to qualify for surgery.
However, she later began to trust Dr. Now and eventually followed his commands until she was accepted for the operation. She shed 252 pounds with the help of bariatric surgery. Her last reported weight was 259 lbs.
Angela’s Dramatic Weight Loss
Angela Johns impressed a lot of people with her weight loss. However, she went through some painful situations after the show. She and her husband called it quits. She also claimed that her Texas home was robbed a day after their split. In 2019, the My 600-lb Life alum set up a fundraiser to help her stay in Texas. She also sought financial assistance for her skin removal surgery. In January 2023, the former reality TV personality surprised fans with her stunning figure.
