Angela Deem, one of the breakout stars from 90 Day Fiance, suffered the loss of her mother this past February as she filmed this latest season of the show. Now that the Happily Ever After episodes air, it looks like she relives that trauma of her mother’s death.
90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After – Angela Deem Is Thrown Back In Time
The 90 Day Fiance star from Georgia knew her mother was sick. Glenda Standridge lived with her daughter, Angela Deem, who also took care of her. Angela told her mom that she didn’t want to go to Nigeria as planned to be with Michael and leave her. But her mother told her to go and she did.
At the time her mother was in the hospital and very ill. So when Angela left for her 90 Day Fiance show obligations and traveled far from home, she worried that she’d never see her mother again.

Shortly after Angela married Michael in Nigeria, Glenda Standridge died it is unclear if Angela made it back to the states or not. According to reports, the death of her mom hit this daughter very hard. She had plans at one time to have a big Georgia-style wedding with her mom right there with her.
Wedding Without Mom
Instead, Angela had to marry Michael in Nigeria as a spousal visa was needed to get him to the states. He was denied that famous K-1 visa, which is the namesake of the show.
Angela Deem, who from all reports, was extremely close to her mom. As hard as this was on Angela, time does help ease the pain. But now that the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After series rolls, it has to be like going through it all over again while watching the episodes.

As Glenda Standridge passes away without Angela there with her, fans offer up their opinions on the event. Some think Angela should have not taken that trip to Nigeria and stayed with her mom.
But Angela’s mom wouldn’t think of putting her daughter’s potential happiness on hold. She urged Angela to go to Michael.
The 90 Day Fiance cameras rolled as Angela Deem said her final farewell to her mom. But she didn’t know this was the last time she’d see her. As Angela left the room she told her mom she’d see her when she returned home from Nigeria. But that didn’t happen.
