Dead By Daylight has introduced a new killer and it is Chucky from Child’s Play. In the game, he is called The Good Guy. He becomes a ghost and this has some fans confused. So what is the lore behind Chucky as a ghost?
Why Is Chucky A Ghost On Dead By Daylight?
Chucky was a ghost in the movies when he was in his human form. In the opening scene of Child’s Play, which you can see below, Chucky is seen running from the police as a human. This is actually Charles Lee Ray, who was a serial killer. This was before he died and before he became Chucky.
He runs into a toy store as the cops are shooting at him. Right before he is about to get killed, his spirit jumps into the doll Chucky. He then becomes this doll, who is now in Dead By Daylight as The Good Guy. In the game, he is the doll Chucky then turns into his ghost form as well. When you play him, he is called The Good Guy and can only be played as a Killer.
Chucky Becomes A Ghost In Dead By Daylight
In the game Dead By Daylight, Chucky becomes a ghost when he downs someone and takes them to the hook. This was a bit confusing for some fans who simply know him as a doll and not as the human form. He then carries his Survivor to the hook and puts them on.
If you haven’t had the chance to play Chucky on Dead By Daylight yet, you can check it out below in the video. This new killer has a lot of fans excited. Right now it is in Beta and anyone can play it. Later on, you will have to purchase it to play Chucky as the killer in Dead By Daylight. He will be available to purchase on November 28, 2023. It was reported that “Players can further customize the new Killer with the Good Gal outfit, inspired by Tiffany Valentine (aka the Bride of Chucky), which is voiced by Jennifer Tilly.”
