Some Sister Wives viewers see Kody Brown as deliberately trying to pit his women against one another this season, especially after a recent scene with Meri Brown and Robyn Brown. Is the Sister Wives leader that desperate to spin drama into the show? A number of fans of the TLC series think so.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Promotes Verbal Boxing Gloves?
It looks like it’s a toss-up between the Sister Wives’ husband putting a wedge between his wives and the editing coming from TLC. But after Robyn Brown and Meri Brown offer up their thoughts on this it looks like it could be a little bit of both.
Meri and Robyn looked as if they were not their usual friendly sisterly duo in recent episodes. The two appeared to fight over building lots at Coyote Pass. Robyn walked off in a huff and Meri appeared irritated as she watched her go.
This was an odd scene for the Sister Wives spouses as both Robyn and her pal Meri are typically close. These two struck up a special friendship from the beginning even before Robyn first entered the family.
Meri Brown Pitted Against Robyn Brown?
It seems fans didn’t see the complete interaction between the two Sister Wives stars on the last episode. Parts of the conversation were left out, Meri Brown said later.
So it seems editing played a role in the overall look of a verbal boxing match between Robyn and her counterpart Meri Brown. But… Kody Brown also had a hand in this, according to these ladies.
It seems Kody told both these Sister Wives ladies that they had the last pick of the building lots. This caused some tension between the two. Robyn thought she had to wait for Meri’s decision and Meri thought she needed to take what Robyn didn’t choose. So, it seems animosity bubbled up.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Meeting Wives ‘Needs’
In a rare conversation, both Meri Brown and the youngest Sister Wives’ spouse Robyn Brown talked about Kody playing favorites. When it seems like Kody is favoring one wife over another it’s not easy for the other wives.
But Robyn said each wife is not always going to feel as if they come first. There are incidences when Kody spends more time with one wife than the others but this is just part of plural marriage.
Meri said that Kody is challenged when trying to make each wife feel heard and that her needs are met. Meri also said all of this comes along with plural marriage. Anyone entering into a plural marriage lifestyle needs to be okay with this.
The first wife of Kody Brown also said:
“I think we all need to feel like we got the first choice. That’s when the magic happens when we all have what we want and what we need.”
