Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons has been showing signs of improvements lately. He’s been steadily increasing his shooting percentage from the 3-point line. Simmons is also a candidate for this year’s Defensive Player of the Year Award, making him one of the most dominant players in the NBA today. However, despite his amazing performances, Simmons is still facing criticism. Apparently, NBA commentator Justin Kutcher took shots at Simmons by calling him “Overrated.” However, Simmons doesn’t let it pass and fires back at the commentator.

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons doesn’t hold back when it comes to criticism over him. In a social media post, Simmons shared a picture of NBA commentator Justin Kutcher with a caption, “Another casual.” After that, Simmons decided to troll the commentator even more by saying, “I started scrolling through his Instagram to see who he is. He’s just a 5’5” commentator, so it is what it is.”
Meanwhile, Kutcher did not take back his words. Instead, he made it clear that he really means it. “Yep, I said that Ben Simmons is one of the most overrated players in the NBA, and I stand by it. I didn’t say he was BAD, just not as good as everyone makes him out to be”, Kutcher said.
Apparently, Simmons has been receiving praises from the fans for his incredible performances. However, earlier in his career, he struggled a lot in shooting free throws and 3-pointers. However, as years go by, Simmons started improving his shooting skills. Meanwhile, his explosiveness in attacking the rim is one of his specialties. Simmons is also a good playmaker and has been one of the best defensive players of the 76ers.
Ben Simmons Takes Second Spot In DPOY Race
Ben Simmons has been putting on a show on the defensive end lately. Apparently, Simmons entered the league with an outstanding defensive mindset. However, Simmons leveled up his defense even further this year, making him earn the second spot of the DPOY race. Simmons currently leads the league in ball deflections per game with 3.9. He’s also the leading player in loose balls recovered with 1.5 per game. Simmons’ blocking ability doesn’t disappoint as well. He’s known for his insane vertical and he utilizes it well on the defensive end. Meanwhile, Simmon’s backcourt partner, Joel Embiid, is currently leading this year’s MVP race. However, he’s expected to drop the spot soon after suffering an injury.

Philadelphia 76ers is struggling in their offense recently due to the absence of Joel Embiid. Apparently, Embiid suffered a left knee injury after his awkward landing in their game against the Washington Wizards. Due to this, fans are worried that the team might struggle in the playoffs especially with their unhealthy superstar. Embiid is expected to return in two weeks. However, fans can expect that he won’t play in his usual intensity to keep his knees healthy.
