Erin Bates Paine Reveals Harrowing Birth Story
Erin Bates Paine and her husband revealed on social media in April that they were expecting another baby, their seventh. The baby boy they planned to name Henry Blythe was in a hurry to meet his family. He arrived unexpectedly in August. He was immediately sent to the NICU in the hospital near the family’s home in DeLand, Florida.
His mom suffered life-threatening complications, including a stroke. She developed sepsis after getting a UTI. She was in the ICU for weeks with her husband and family at her bedside, praying for a miracle.
Their prayers were answered as mom and baby slowly gained their strength. They were released from the hospital in September, but Erin Bates Paine is still struggling with the use of her legs.

She shared a new photo that reveals just how much the baby has grown in the two months since his birth. The mom of seven looked happy and relaxed in pajamas and glasses with her son cuddling on her chest, close to her heart. “Blessed. Thankful,” she wrote on the snapshot.
A lot of fans have been warning Erin Bates Paine and her husband to stop having children after the life-threatening birth of their seventh child. She recently responded to the concern, revealing whether they plan to expand their family or if it is complete with seven kids.
In her vlog about Henry’s birth, Erin Bates Paine said she couldn’t wait to see what’s next in her son’s story. One next thing is his first Christmas. She shared on social media last week that she’s already started decorating her house for the holiday season.
“After all we’ve walked through, our home needed a little Christmas joy. The glow of the tree, the sound of the train, the reminder that light still shines in the darkness,” she wrote on the post.
