Is The Duggars’ Counting On’ Returning To TLC?
Counting On was officially canceled in 2021 after Josh Duggar was arrested. The shocking cancellation came years after the family’s 19 Kids & Counting show was canceled due to his previous behavior. With so much going on Jim Bob and Michelle’s children, fans think the family is making a long-awaited return to reality TV. Keep reading for all the details.
Duggar Daughter Finally Pregnant
TLC viewers first met the Duggars in 2008 when Jim Bob and Michelle let cameras into their home near Fayetteville, Arkansas. At the time, she was ready to give birth to their fifteenth child. The show’s name was eventually changed to 19 Kids & Counting after Michelle Duggar had even more children.
The show was canceled in 2015 after a shocking article revealed that Josh Duggar had been accused of molesting several young girls, including some of his siblings.
A rebrand show called Counting On featured the older Duggar kids. It initially focused on Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald before including most of the rest of the family. The show was canceled again in 2021 because of Josh Duggar. He was arrested that year on charges of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to over twelve years in prison.

TLC fans miss the Duggar family. Many of the older children keep fans up-to-date with social media. Jinger Duggar Vuolo has a podcast with her husband, Jeremy. They recently spoke out about the bullying their daughter faced in school.
Jill Duggar Dillard is also active on social media. Her older sister, Jana, finally got married in 2024 after years of watching her younger siblings get married off first. She’s expecting her first child with her husband, Stephen Wissmann, in early 2026.
Unfortunately, fans are missing all of that. A recent promotional poster circulated on Facebook that claimed the Duggars are returning to TLC in 2026.
The poster features some of the Duggar family on the same red background used in previous seasons. But is it true?
Is Counting On Returning To TLC?
The advertisement may have fooled Facebook users, but other social media users immediately clocked it as fake. It’s been a few years since Josh Duggar was sent to prison, but it will be a long time until the general public forgets about his crimes.
“No way in hell they’re back.. Josh helped ruin that forever,” one former Duggar fan wrote about TLC bringing the show back.
Another added, “Jim bob’s bank account wishes it was real.”
