Bloodied Homeless Man Arrested After Man’s Head Found On Spike

A homeless man was recently charged in Australia following the death of a pregnant woman and her partner. Grisly details have come out about the case, from bloody clothes to one of the victims being decapitated.

The Suspect Was Found At A Nearby McDonald’s ‘Covered In Blood’

A 34-year-old homeless man in Australia was arrested following the grisly murder of two victims in their Melbourne apartment home. Police reportedly arrived at the victims’ residence during a welfare check after receiving reports of yelling at the area.

The victims were identified as Athena Georgopoulos, who was five months pregnant, and her partner, Andrew Gunn. The two were found dead when police arrived at the scene.

According to News AU, Gunn was found to have been decapitated, with his head on a spike. A homeless man, identified as Ross Judd, has since been arrested over the case.

Speaking with The Herald Sun, witnesses claimed that the man could be seen ordering at a nearby McDonald’s. Judd was reportedly “covered in blood” at the time. He was also reportedly accompanied by two German Shepherds wearing bandanas. One diner claimed that Judd “stood at the food pick up counter wiping the blood on his hands with tissues.”

One Of The Victim’s Mothers Shared A Message On Facebook Following The Double Homicide

The Sun reported that Gunn and Judd might have had a dispute over the dogs. Friends of Gunn claimed, “That’s what spun me out when I heard about (the deaths), because he and his dog went everywhere together and Dragon wouldn’t let anyone near him.”

Reportedly, Judd was later arrested at a railway station. This took place around four hours following the slaying. At the time, he had blood on his shirt and was with the dogs.

Judd’s defense lawyer, Annie Allan, said it was the first time Judd was in custody. It was also requested that he speak to a prison nurse to follow up on medication.

Following a court appearance this past Wednesday, Judd was remanded to custody. According to The Guardian, his next court appearance will be on January 13, 2026, through a video link.

Reportedly, one of the victims being pregnant had previously delayed the autopsies. A police prosecutor shared, “One of the people was pregnant and that has resulted in the delay. We are unable to provide a timeframe for when the DNA [examination] would be done.”

As shared by the publication, Athena’s mother shared a message in Greek. A translation read, “These last days you were so happy, we dreamed together about our granddaughter who you would bring into this life and suddenly all was extinguished in one night. Even in our separation, I will never stop loving you and look forward to our reunion.”
