Dog Groomer Arrested, Caught On Video Beating Helpless Dogs

Dog Groomer Arrested For Beating Helpless Pups
When animals are dropped off at the groomer or daycare, the hope is that they will be well taken care of. They will be loved and appreciated as they would be in the presence of their owner. That does not always happen, and it is a horrific situation. Recently, in North Carolina, a dog groomer, Kirsten Taylor, was caught on video abusing helpless pups. That led to her arrest after she was seen hitting the animals, who were terrified of her behavior. This all went down after Animal Services was alerted about some bad behavior going down at Classy Critters.
One of Kirsten’s co-workers filmed her abuse and noted it “revealed troubling behavior involving at least four separate dogs being treated in a clearly aggressive and abusive manner.” Kirsten was soon arrested and charged with four felony counts of animal abuse. She was put in jail with a $10K bail set for her release. As of Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025, she was able to come up with the money to be released. It is unclear what the next steps are, but the families who entrusted Classy Critters are likely ready to take action.
As for how this affects their dog business is also unknown. The business is listed as a pet resort and spa, but the treatment was anything but luxurious. Those who saw the video of Kirsten hurting the dogs were angered and sick. However, some knew of similar situations and could not believe anyone would do this to innocent creatures. It is a behavior that needs to be monitored and stopped, but it is almost impossible without constant cameras and people coming forward.
A Despicable Act
What happened to these dogs was despicable and should never be accepted in any capacity. As for the owners, some think she should face charges. It seems that she knew what was going on behind closed doors but turned a blind eye:
- The owner needs to be arrested and charged as well. She posted text messages admitting to her knowing of abuse in her facility and not doing anything about it.
There were also allegations that the owner let the employee who did the filming go, but kept Kirsten Taylor. That has caused even more rage because the employee was doing her job and protecting the clients. Ultimately, many were grateful that this had been brought to the forefront. It is becoming a regular occurrence, but people stay silent. That cannot happen if they want a change in the industry.
