Search For Missing Kyron Horman Restarts 15 Years Later
In June 2010, Kyron Horman was at his school’s science fair in Portland, Oregon. He was just seven years old when he vanished without a trace from his elementary school. His stepmother, Terri, was the last one to see Kyron alive on that fateful day. Oregon authorities launched a huge investigation and did whatever they needed to in an attempt to find Kyron. Sadly, they found nothing, and for fifteen years, the case has remained unsolved. No one knows what happened to him, and there has been somewhat of some age progression in case he is still out there.

Now, it appears that the case has been reopened, not that anyone ever gave up hope that he or his remains would be found. United States Search Corps worker Doug Bishop is sharing some new insight as to why there is a renewed interest:
“We’ve been involved in several searches relating to this case, and it’s a case that obviously dates back now more than a decade, and the circumstances surrounding this case alludes to some areas that are some really difficult terrain to search and also to some individuals involved that we believe had something to do with his disappearance.”
As of now, they may not have exhausted every avenue as previously suspected. His stepmother, Terri, was the one who dropped Kyron off at school. She watched him walk to his classroom, but he never returned home that day. The police were called in hopes that they could get a handle on the case, but clearly, that has not worked out.

Doug Bishop explained that a cellphone had pinged near the location that they searched. This belonged to one of the suspects, and it could have been where Kyron Horman was last laid to rest. As of now, Bishop is not losing hope. He is ready to start searching locations that might have been missed in the past. Regarding why they were not searched is unknown.
Not Losing Hope
Doug Bishop seems very firm in believing that if they look further and deeper, they can come to a resolution. Moreover, they can begin to take the next steps in the case. Obviously, if Kyron Horman is deceased, it would be time to uncover how this happened and what the motive was. Finally, there is a new DA, Nathan Vasquez, and he has made it clear that he is not ready to give up. Currently, there is a $50K reward regarding Kyron’s whereabouts. They will keep searching as long as they need to, and hopefully, get some answers.

I’m really glad there is renewed interest in locating poor little Kyron. It’s time to bring him home. And to whoever harmed him, may they be prosecuted to the fullest degree.
