There are a few refrigerator brands that will give you $300, but how is this possible, and what is the catch? It is not easy to land free money, but if the opportunity arises, many will take it. So, how does this work? Keep reading for more details.

Refrigerator Brands That Will Get You $300

Everyone could use some extra money, so if there is a way to get $300 from your refrigerator, you may ask why and how. It seems that three brands are settling with customers, but what is the reason? Defects have popped up for Whirlpool, KitchenAid, and Maytag fridges. These brands are owned collectively by Whirlpool, and if the product was purchased between 2012 and 2019, a settlement is being offered. So, what is wrong with these household necessities? Frost can build up inside the fridge, which will hinder the ability to cool, so essentially, food can go bad, and it will not work properly.

Those who have purchased these fridges and may have experienced the defect are now able to receive $300 in a settlement. Although it may not appear to be a lot, given the damage some consumers may have endured, it is something. So, how can this money be achieved? There is a website set up, and customers just have to log in with their serial number. That will guide them to check and see if they are entitled to the money or if they are ineligible. At the time, Whirlpool was not taking any liability for what had happened.

However, by offering $300 for anyone who has a model of the refrigerators in question can be compensated. Per the settlement, those who have had their fridges repaired or obtained replacements will get $300. How much consumers actually receive in the long run will depend on how long they had the fridge when it was fixed. The younger the item, the more money there will be. All claims must be submitted by June 18th, which is in just a few days.

Have You Been Affected?

After seeing this settlement being offered, have you been affected by the refrigerator defects? More so, were you even aware that this was a thing, and that you could get $300? This is a decent suit, and again, Whirpool has yet to say that they did anything wrong. Regardless, this is worth looking into if you bought a Whirlpool, KitchenAid, or Maytag between 2012 and 2019.

Are you impacted by this at all, and if so, have you filed your claim yet? Let us know in the comments below.
