Counting On: The Duggar Family’s Nastiest Scandals
One of the biggest scandals in the Duggar family was when Josh got arrested for CSAM. The Counting On alum is currently serving 12.5 years in prison after he was found guilty. Aside from Josh, Jim Bob has also been facing criticism after his daughter, Jill, claimed that he committed tax fraud.
Many people also question him and Michelle about how they raised their child. It’s known that they had a “buddy system” where the adults get appointed to specific younger siblings to take care of them until they get bigger, which lessens Michelle’s responsibilities as a mother. But some Redditors think all of their nasty issues don’t end there.
Fans Share Insane Things That Happened In The Family
Some Counting On fans on Reddit discussed some of the things about the Duggar family that make no sense. According to some, they’re puzzled about how Michelle Duggar had a normal childhood and was given all the freedom by her parents, but she couldn’t give it to her own children.
Others also mentioned how they advocate strict modesty but had tons of PDA moments during the show. Many comments also revolved around how Jim Bob and Michelle didn’t think much about how they would afford enough food with their family with just one source of income before the show.

The number of Duggar kids stepping away from their core values has grown over the past few years. One of them is Jill, who even wrote a book featuring her difficult past with her parents. Jinger also published a memoir about her disentanglement from the IBLP. But despite her decision, the Counting On alum is still loved by her family in Arkansas.
Meanwhile, there have been speculations that Jim Bob Duggar is trying to cover up for the second season of Shiny Happy People, where they may get mentioned again. The rumors come after the sudden online activities of the family, including Jana’s return after two years of absence.
