My 600-lb Life star Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, mostly known as Dr. Now, has been making extra efforts to show appreciation to his fans. The 79-year-old surgeon previously took to social media to promote the upcoming season of the reality show. He also announced that he was going to have a meet-and-greet at his office. My 600-lb Life: Season 12 Debuts With Krystal S.
The first episode of Season 12 debuted with a patient named Krystal S. The My 600-lb Life star was struggling at nearly 700 pounds. She’s already having a hard time with her mobility, and it only takes her three to four steps before losing her breath. Fortunately, Krystal found the determination to turn her life around due to her boyfriend. According to her, she doesn’t want to marry him until she can be sure that she won’t be bedridden and become a burden for her partner.
Krystal’s episode ended positively. She was able to drop 184 pounds, bringing her down to 505 lbs. Some of her latest social media photos also show that she’s still maintaining a healthy lifestyle after filming.
What Happened To Dr. Now’s Meet & Greet?
Dr. Now gained many supporters due to his tough love and honesty towards his patients. He also likes to interact with his fans on and off the camera. The My 600-lb Life star put up a meet-and-greet event following the premiere of Season 12. One Redditor shared their experience during the event. According to the poster, Dr. Now was so nice in person. Others also shared their experience and even recalled some of the bariatric surgeon’s most famous lines throughout the show.

Dr. Now also took to Instagram to share clips from his meet-and-greet event. The My 600-lb Life star was visited by so many people of different ages. One of the clips even shows a long line outside the Iranian’s office. Dr. Now also did a book signing and gave out souvenirs during the event.

The second episode of Season 12 will air on March 13, 2024. It will feature the story of William, a former athlete who lost track of himself following a knee injury. As a result, he ballooned up to over 600 pounds.
