Counting On star Jill Duggar has been making headlines after announcing her latest project with Derick Dillard. Apparently, Jill and Derick are planning to launch their book titled Counting The Cost. It also appears that the book they have written explains their online absence. However, not everyone is impressed by Jill’s upcoming book. Some are also calling her out for going too far against her parents and not giving them the respect they deserve.
Counting On: Jill Duggar Announces A New Book
Counting On star Jill Duggar recently took to social media to announce her latest book with Derick Dillard. She also took the opportunity to explain the contents of the book. According to Jill, Counting The Cost will focus more on their painful journey in the reality show, Counting On. Jill also revealed that it will feature all the challenges they faced, especially during their time with the Duggar family in Arkansas.
She also pointed out that Counting The Cost will talk about the lack of respect for boundaries, greed, manipulation, and betrayal they experienced with the Duggars. “5+ years of reality television, undergirded by secrecy and lies, is tantamount to pouring gasoline on the fire of our struggle,” she added.
Fans Have Mixed Reactions Regarding Jill’s Book
Counting On fans also shared their thoughts regarding Jill Duggar’s latest book. Many are not impressed by the contents of Counting The Cost. Some even took to Jill’s comment section to call her out for being disrespectful to her parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. “I can’t help but feel bad for your parents. I cannot imagine my children writing tell-all books about family. Here’s the thing Jill, NO family is perfect,” one person said. Others also recalled that Jill’s reconciliation with her parents just became pointless with her book.
Counting On: How Did The Duggar Family React To Jill Duggar’s Book?
At this point, most of the Duggars have yet to share their comments regarding Jill Duggar’s book. Amy King is the only relative of Jill who gave a positive message about Counting The Cost. It appears that Jill also caught her family off-guard. Apparently, things are finally getting better between Jill and her family in Arkansas. She’s been participating in their recent gatherings as well. One of which is the all-girls bonding time that Joy-Anna Duggar held. Jill was also spotted talking to Michelle Duggar with a big smile on her face, leaving fans confused as to why she had to launch such a book.
Jinger Duggar’s book, Becoming Free Indeed, was well-received by her family as it didn’t damage Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s image. It was carefully written and only pointed out the harmful ideology of the IBLP. Meanwhile, fans think that Jill went a little aggressive with her book as it appears to directly call out her parents.
