Many are curious about how the big family will celebrate the holidays amid the controversy they’ve been facing since Josh Duggar’s conviction. Several Duggars have left social media, and some think it’s due to the negativity they’ve been receiving. Now, the Duggars are making noise on social media as they share details about their annual Christmas party. However, some fans noticed that several Duggars are missing in action.
Counting On: The Duggars’ Christmas Party Is Here
In a YouTube post, Counting On star James Duggar shared a 10-minute video featuring the Duggar family’s annual Christmas Party. The video starts off with James attending church before heading to the Duggar compound. He also shared glimpses of some of his siblings as they set things up for the Christmas party. There were tons of gifts scattered around the house. Moments later, James and some of his siblings and friends decided to have some fun in the snow.
The Christmas party later began with several Duggars in attendance. They had several indoor and outdoor games. James also shared a rare clip of his sister, Jana Duggar, who hasn’t been posting anything on social media for months. It seems that everyone is doing well. James ended his vlog with an adorable conversation with his sister, Josie Duggar.
Several Duggars Are Out Of Sight
Counting On fans noticed the absence of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar throughout James’s vlog. The reason behind their absence is unclear. Many people think they’re trying their best to lay low after all the controversy they have faced since Josh’s arrest. Fans still hope that Jim Bob and Michelle had a blast during the holidays despite all the negativity. Aside from Jim Bob and Michelle, Lauren Duggar, Hannah Duggar, Anna Duggar, and Kendra Duggar are also out of sight. Some think they may have celebrated the holidays with their own families. Justin Duggar and Claire Duggar weren’t able to make it either, and some fans believe they celebrated with the Spivey family this year.
Counting On: Will Jim Bob Duggar & Michelle Duggar Return Next Year?
At this point, Counting On fans are still having a hard time getting updates from Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. However, many have not lost hope that they will eventually return. There are also speculations that the inactive Duggars might return in 2023. Next year is going to be exciting for the family due to the recent pregnancy announcements. Meanwhile, fans can only hope that Jim Bob and Michelle will finally acknowledge their upcoming grandkids and open up about their long absence.
It’s unclear if TLC still has any plans on bringing the family back to the small screens. Fans doubt that the Duggars will return anytime soon due to the criticism they’ve been getting lately.
