Counting On stars Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo also faced tons of controversies from their latest book, You Can Shine So Bright! Apparently, readers are questioning some of the contents of the children’s books. Specifically, a series that includes a child with a skin of color being portrayed as a thief.
Some people took Jinger’s recent post to address the issues regarding their book, but the couple remained silent. “Y’all are still promoting this book with the black kid being portrayed as a thief and the disabled kid treated like an afterthought?” one person said.
“The part with the disabled child is like an afterthought… like oh he loves even you… as a parent of an Autistic child I would not buy this,” another person added.
It’s clear to see that Jinger and Jeremy still couldn’t escape the controversies, despite their wholesome lifestyle. Either way, it doesn’t seem like the Counting On stars will be addressing it.
