Most of the time, the two share sweet morning dates with the kids as well as their recent family activities. Counting On: Jill Duggar Celebrate 8 Years Since Her First Date With Derick Dillard
In a social media post, Counting On star Jill Duggar shared a lengthy message as she and Derick Dillard celebrate the anniversary of their very first date. “Today marks 8 years since Derick officially asked me to start dating him!” Jill said. Jill also said that her father, Jim Bob Duggar, helped her on meeting with Derick during Thanksgiving by traveling with her to Nepal, where Derick used to work for a couple of years. After that, Jill shared a sweet message for her husband. “I love you so much @derickdillard. Thanks for loving Jesus and pointing me to Him! And thanks for being my man, my rock, my biggest supporter, the shoulder I cry on, and my very best friend!” Jill said.
Derick Shares Sweet Message For Jill
Counting On star Derick Dillard also took social media to share a sweet message for Jill Duggar. “8 years ago today I started dating my best friend @jillmdillard while I was working on the other side of the world!” Derick said. “I definitely enjoyed our unchaperoned motorcycle ride around the area,” he added. Derick also said that he had so many fond memories with Jill during the early stages of their relationship. “If I had a GED in knowing you then, I want a Ph.D. 50 years from now!” he added.
Counting On: None Of The Duggars Commented On Jill & Derick’s Wholesome Post
Despite their sweet messages for each other, Counting On fans noticed that none of the Duggars commented on Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s post. According to some, it just shows that some of the family members are still affected by Jill and Derick’s estrangement from the family. Meanwhile, some think that the Duggars are just trying to remain silent online due to Josh Duggar’s ongoing child porn case, followed by their father’s candidacy for Arkansas State Senate.
It’s known that Jill is still in touch with some of her siblings. Due to this, it’s safe to say that she’s no longer having a feud with the family. She also made it clear that she and her parents are heading towards healing, something that the fans are very excited to see.
