Rumors are swirling that hackers are responsible for taking down Roblox. And, these rumors suggest the service interruption and outage till November 1st. Are there any truths to these rumors and where did they come from?
Roblox has been down for nearly 24 hours
As we previously reported, Roblox went down around dinner time in the U.S. yesterday. The game was down all evening. The outage continued through the night and extended to the morning. This morning, Roblox finally took to their official Twitter account to acknowledge the outage. They reassured players they were aware of it and they were working to fix it. Now, players were frustrated the company didn’t bother posting about the outage until nearly 24 hours
Did hackers cause the outage?
A viral tweet by a user named Luna shared a few photos talking about Roblox being down. The pictures claimed to be an administrator of Roblox. The individual who posted the tweet begged people not to spread the rumor until an official account belonging to the game confirmed it to be true.
The tweet has since been retweeted nearly 50 times and liked over 150 times. So posting these pictures and asking not to spread the rumor ended up causing the rumor to swirl anyway.

The post of the individual claiming to be an administrator of Roblox noted the game would be unavailable to players until November 1st. The individual added this was the third hacking incident. And, it caused the serves to shut down for several days.

Responding to the photo, people were quick to point out the lack of spaces between various words. They noted it didn’t really read as if it came from someone official. Players, however, remain anxious about hacking as they are presently unable to log in to their accounts.
Presently, there has been nothing official to confirm hackers are responsible for taking Roblox down. But, players remain anxious as many claim this is the longest the game has ever experienced an outage. Some players speculate hackers are to blame because the game released a Halloween update just hours before the server crashed and the game went down.
