Roblox users who went to sleep without playing their beloved game woke up this morning wondering whether the game was still down. Unfortunately, Roblox is still down. The game started glitching and crashed sometime yesterday evening. Players took to social media and Reddit to report getting booted from various games. Some claimed they were completely logged out of their accounts. Frustrated players went to sleep as #RobloxDown trended on various social media platforms.
Unfortunately, as Roblox users started to wake up, they learned the game was still down. Roblox still hasn’t come back online. Some players are reporting they were able to open Roblox and remained logged in until they downloaded the latest update to the game. Many report that after downloading the latest update, they were logged out of the game.
Trying to log back into Roblox, players are getting error messages. A new error message is popping up when opening Roblox now that says “Service not available, please try again later.”
Roblox is still down: What is the latest status update?
Roblox has a status page that players can visit any time the game is down or they are experiencing glitches. A “Major Player Drop” was reported on the status page around 4:00 p.m. PDT yesterday. The update noted that many players were impacted by this service disruption. And, it urged players to “stay tuned” for more information.
Five hours later, the status page was updated. It reported: “We identify the root cause as internal system issue and work on the fix.”
This morning the status page was updated once more: “We are actively working on recovery. Some users started to have limited access.”
Users take to social media and Reddit to complain about the 2021 outage
Many Roblox users admit this is the longest the game has ever been down. Most players admit they are going through pretty intense bouts of withdrawal as they are anxious to get back into the game.

The official Roblox Twitter did post a tweet to their account 20 minutes ago reassuring players they were aware of the outage and they were working hard to fix it.
We know you’re having issues using Roblox right now.
We’re sorry and working hard to get things back to normal.

The tweet above is the first time they took to social media to acknowledge the outage. In response to the tweet, some users admit they are furious Roblox is only just now posting about it when the game crashed nearly 24 hours ago.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any information about why the game is down or when it might be restored. As far as players know, they’ve been working to retore the game since last night.
