Confirmed! Scarlett Johannson Is Pregnant!
Rumors have been flying about Scarlett Johannson and whether or not this Golden Globe nominee is turning into a glowing globe instead. On Tuesday, Page Six broke the news that this beloved Hollywood starlet is expecting. Now 36, Scarlett will welcome her first child with her husband, Colin Jost. The actress also has a child from a previous relationship, a daughter, 6-year-old Rose, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.
While the pregnancy went unconfirmed for several months, suspicions started to rise among peers and fans when the Avengers alum opted out of several promotional events for her latest movie project, Black Widow. The project will release to theaters on July 9th.
After the confirmation of her pregnancy, it’s safe to assume that she skipped out on the events for privacy and safety purposes. Despite the fact that the pandemic is starting to wane, large crowds do still pose some danger – especially for pregnant women.
When Is The Baby Due?
Well, as of now, no one seems to have a concrete due date. The Mirror reports that while no one knows exactly how far along she is – several sources confirm that she is “due soon.” One insider told Page Six, that the actress has been keeping her pregnancy quiet and trying to maintain a low profile. The source went on to say that Scarlett had not been doing very many interviews to promote the film. Many found this extremely odd, considering that Scarlett is both the female lead AND executive producer for the film.
In lieu of on-set interviews, Scarlett Johansson has instead been doing most promotional segments via Zoom. This allowed the camera to focus on her upper body, camouflaging her growing baby bump.
Why Has Scarlett Johansson Been Hiding Her Pregnancy From Fans?
Scarlett Johannson is notably one of the most private celebrities of the age. While most Hollywood elite has at least a management-run ‘official’ Twitter or Instagram profile, Scarlett does not. In fact, the blonde-bombshell sees social media as a complete invasion of privacy. Back in 2011, several nude photos of the actress leaked out online. According to Micky, the nude photos of Scarlett were taken by the star herself. The snaps were intended for her ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Unfortunately, Scarlett Johannson and 50 other big-name celebs fell victim to this cybercriminal who attempted to make a quick buck selling their photos to various news and tabloid outlets. So, it makes absolute sense that the woman declared ‘Hollywood’s highest-paid actress’ would be wary of sharing too much of her personal life with the public. Very little information becomes public about Scarlett’s personal life. Clearly, she intends to keep it that way.
