He also liked several posts about the possibility of the show being canceled. However, it appears that there’s also a part of him that’s against the cancellation. Derick is a law student, which makes him a good choice for the fans to debate with. Fortunately, Derick spent his time talking with the fans instead of avoiding the sensitive topic.
Counting On: Fans Discuss If The Show Should Be Canceled
In a social media post, Counting On fans gathered to discuss the possibility of the show being canceled. According to a fan, it’s possible that the show might get canceled due to Josh Duggar’s recent arrest. However, some fans think that Josh is not related to the latest season, which is why canceling it won’t be reasonable. Apparently, TLC previously canceled the show 19 Kids and Counting due to Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal. Fans believe that the show was canceled because Josh was part of the show back then. However, Counting On is a new spinoff that didn’t feature Josh.
Derick Dillard Joins The Debate
During the discussion, Counting On star Derick Dillard joined the fans to share his thoughts about the topic. At first, Derick liked several posts about the show being canceled. However, he started sharing his opinions which seems to go against the cancellation of the show. “Why cancel it then instead of just not show him?”, Derick said. After that, Derick agreed to a fan suggesting that TLC should just rebrand the show and remove the main cause of the issue, which is Josh Duggar.
Meanwhile, some fans think that Jill Duggar and Derick shouldn’t suffer from the mess that Josh did. “Blame needs to be placed with her brother and her parents. Jill has dealt with enough and is getting the help she needs”, the fan added.
Counting On: The Duggar Family Releases Statement Regarding Josh’s Arrest
Counting On stars Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar announced on social media that they made a statement about Josh Duggar’s recent arrest. According to them, they’re thanking all those who prays and kept on supporting their family amid their recent struggles. “The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious”, the Jim Bob and Michelle added. After that, they said that they’ll keep praying for the truth and they’ll accept no matter what happens. Jim Bob and Michelle ended their statement by saying that they love Josh and Anna and they will continue to pray for their family.
