People all over the world absolutely love 16-year-old TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. That’s exactly why so many people felt absolutely devastated when they heard Charli died on March 12. However, the rumor is debunked. Charli D’Amelio is very much alive. She’s just the latest victim of an internet celebrity death hoax.
A YouTube channel claims to predict celebrity deaths, including Charli D’Amelio
A bizarre YouTube channel simply called “2021 VISION” uploaded a video in February claiming that Charli would die on March 12. The video shows an eerie eye that blinks several times, revealing the date that the internet star would allegedly die. You can see it for yourself here:

On March 11, the account posted another video alleging Charli D’Amelio died in a car accident. The second video is also very short. You can see that one here:

Thankfully, those predictions didn’t come true. Charli is still alive and well. She posted content on her social media pages over the weekend. She even posted a photo to her Instagram stories captioned “I’m alive” in a nod to the death hoax rumors.
Many people on the internet felt that this was a step too far. After all, Charli D’Amelio is a minor. Many felt that 2021 VISION crossed a line by predicting the death of a young girl. If you take a look through the comments sections on the videos, you’ll see plenty of disgruntled fans.
Does VISION 2021 have any credibility at all?
Most people didn’t believe that a YouTube video actually could predict Charli D’Amelio’s death. However, others felt a little uneasy. The channel also reportedly predicted many other celebrity deaths this year, including Tyga, Eminem, Kanye West, and many more.
However, the channel predicted Tyga would die on March 12. The rapper is also very much alive. If you felt uneasy about the YouTube channel, you shouldn’t. It really seems that someone is out there trying to pull off an elaborate prank.
Now that we know Charli D’Amelio is safe, what is she up to now?
Charli is very much alive — and having a very great time. She and fellow internet sensation James Charles won a pretty big title at the 2021 Kids Choice Awards this week.
“Thank you so, so much. I just want to thank every person who has supported me throughout this journey,” Charlie began in her acceptance speech for “Favorite Social Star.”
She won against other big names like JoJo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler.
“I love each and every one of you. I wouldn’t be here without all of you,” Charli concluded.
James Charles won the title in the men’s division. YouTuber David Dobrick handed out the award.
