Duggar cousin Amy King is known for her rebellious acts against the strict family rules of the Duggars. Amy is the niece of Jim Bob Duggar. However, the two were never really close as Amy estranged herself from the family. Now, Amy caught a lot of attention after seemingly shading the Duggars. It all started when Amy reflected on Meghan Markle’s issue with the Royal Family. Apparently, Markle recently went headlines after their tell-all segment with Oprah. It appears that Amy also feels the same way as she’s also in a similar situation with the Duggars.
Amy King Shades The Duggars
In a social media post, Counting On star Amy King revealed that she watched Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah. According to her, she sympathizes with Markle in a very small way. She also said that she felt unprotected, trapped, and unheard. “I felt like there was no way out, I felt used, controlled and I was scrutinized,” Amy added. She also admired how Markle was able to endure her struggles and it inspired her to tell her story as well. “I went back and forth asking myself ‘Do I need to send this message out?’ but the answer is yes. It’s so empowering to speak up!!” she added.
Amy King Has Been Against The Family Rules
Counting On star Amy King has been rebelling against the Duggars ever since she estranged herself from the family years ago. Since then, Amy was seen drinking alcohol with her husband Dillon King. She was also seen disregarding the Duggar family’s dress code by wearing revealing clothes. She’s also open with her intimacy with her husband. She even urged her fans to prioritize their intimacy on social media, which is against Jim Bob Duggar’s rules about modesty.
Amy Still Bonds With Some Of The Duggars
Despite estranging herself from the Duggars, Counting On star Amy King is still bonding with some of her cousins. One of which is Jill Duggar, who’s also known for her rebellious acts towards the family. At one point, the two were seen drinking alcohol on a double date with their husbands. The two also communicate often through their social media by commenting and liking each other’s posts. Meanwhile, Amy has been snubbed often from the family parties due to her rebellious acts.
