Justin Duggar recently got engaged to his girlfriend Claire Spivey. Now, the couple is in the process of planning their wedding. The Spivey and Duggar families have known each other for a while. From what fans can see on social media, it looks like Claire is getting comfortable with her soon-to-be in-laws, the Duggar family.
Now that Justin and Claire have made their relationship public and are sharing updates on social media, they have gained a lot of social media followers.
On Claire’s Instagram account, she follows many members of Justin’s family. Scrolling through her Instagram following shows that one family member, in particular, is missing off the list. So, who is Claire snubbing?
Claire Spivey won’t follow the Dillards
Claire’s following list is missing Jill Duggar Dillard. In addition, Jill’s husband Derick Dillard is missing from the list. It’s unclear why she doesn’t follow the couple, especially because she follows the rest of the Duggar family on social media. She hasn’t come out and say why she isn’t following Jill and Derick.
Similarly, Jill and Derick aren’t following Claire on social media either.
This could mean that Jill and Derick haven’t met Claire yet. Due to the coronavirus, perhaps the family is keeping their distance, but from what fans can see, it doesn’t seem like they are taking the virus too seriously.
Because of the rift between Jill and Derick and the rest of the family, it’s possible that Claire is distancing herself too. Perhaps Claire knows about the drama and is avoiding Jill and Derick for this reason. She may not be following them because she hasn’t met them.
On social media, it’s not uncommon for people to follow those who they haven’t met. In this case, Claire is close to the Duggar family, so it’s not as if Jill and Derick are complete strangers to her.
It’s unlikely that Claire will speak out about her decision not to interact with Jill on social media. For now, fans are speculating about what could have gone down between them. Because Claire managed to track down most of the family on social media, it seems unlikely that she would completely miss two family members.
