Prince William and Prince Harry have found themselves in a new feud. The Royal brothers were reportedly working on their strained relationship. They even reconnected during the holiday season. But now, William is not happy with Harry’s response to Queen Elizabeth II.

On Friday, February 19th, Entertainment Chronicle reported that Harry and Meghan will not return to their Senior Royal duties. They even fired back with a statement to the Queen. Now, William is “really sad and genuinely shocked” by his younger brother’s behavior. He feels that Harry was “insulting and disrespectful” towards their grandmother.

Prince Harry reignites feud

The Times report reveals that the Duke of Cambridge is “very upset” with Harry and Meghan. Prince William didn’t like their response to Queen Elizabeth’s announcement that they are officially stepping down from their Senior Royal duties. An insider close to the Royal family called the move “petulant and insulting to the Queen,” according to Page Six.

The insider included a fair warning: “Don’t disrespect your granny, Harry.”

A second source added: “You don’t answer the Queen back – it’s just not done.”

Other unknown members of the Royal members are also “stunned” by Harry and Meghan’s statement. But William was the most disappointed. At first, he was angry over the couple’s response. And then he was saddened over the news.

“Once he got over the anger of how things happened, he was left with the absence of his brother,” the source said. “They had shared everything about their lives – an office, a foundation, meetings together most days – and there was a lot of fun along the way. He’ll miss it forever.”

The Duke of Sussex became Vice Patron of the RFU in 2010, and took over as Patron in December 2016.

William’s mystery friend said that he feels that all eyes are on him now. His future is without his brother by his side and he’s unsure of how to move on. But another friend of the Duke said that even though the situation is “desperately sad and bad,” the “brothers will be there for each other.” However, it may take time to repair this relationship again.

Prince William projected replacement

Prince Harry is “completely blindsided” by this move. He didn’t expect his removal from The Rugby Football League. On Friday, Buckingham Palace confirmed in their statement that Meghan and Harry will no longer retain their patronages. That means Harry will no longer have ties to the sports organization.

Instead, Prince William will fulfill that role, according to a report from The Telegraph. While Harry could have “some role” in Fall 2021, that could change. The next best option would be to have William attend. However, a spokesperson for the Rugby Football Union did not confirm that report.

Also, Meghan and Harry could lose the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Royal National Theatre, and the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. Harry could also lose his honorary military appointments, according to People.
