Fans of The Bachelor are buzzing about rumors that the longtime host, Chris Harrison, may be getting the boot. Members of Bachelor Nation are freaking out about the beloved TV star possibly being replaced. The gossip has none other than Wells Adams stepping into the role.

According to Heavy, speculation is thick that Harrison may be leaving his role as the face of the popular reality show. Chris is known for diffusing tense moments and lending a shoulder to cry on. However, he also plays a big part in helping The Bachelor contestants acclimate to their newfound fame.

Is Chris Harris leaving The Bachelor?

The speculation of Chris Harrison‘s removal from the show seems to make its rounds online. However, there is no evidence to back it up. The viewers still seem to approve of Chris’ hosting abilities, but the show could be looking to shake things up.

Recently, ABC’s other hit reality series, Dancing With The Stars, canned their host, Tom Bergeron. They also fired his co-host, Erin Andrews. Bergeron had hosted every season of DWTS until Season 29 when Tyra Banks took over the reins.

The rumor mill is working overtime when it comes to The Bachelor. However, Wells Adams recently touched on the speculation that he may be taking over hosting duties.

“It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. First of all, Chris isn’t going anywhere. He’s got the best job in Hollywood. Tom Hanks would agree that he has the best job in Hollywood. He’s not going anywhere. And I know that everyone’s like, well, he’s moving to Texas. Guess what, everybody? It’s a travel show. He can live in Timbuktu and still do the show. They only film a week and a half in Agoura Hills. The rest of the show is off everywhere else,” The Bachelor in Paradise bartender told told People Magazine.

Harrison stepped away during production of The Bachelorette

Meanwhile, Harrison did take some time off during the most recent season of The Bachelorette. While production was in session, Chris told the contestants that he would be leaving for a while in order to take his son to college. During that time, Jojo Fletcher stepped in to take over his duties.

“Normally, this is where I drop off the date card. The reason I don’t have your date card is a bit of a personal story. I’m going to step away for a few days, and I’m going to take my son to college. But I’m not going to leave you guys empty-handed. I brought in a little help for this week. She’s a very, very dear friend to Tayshia, and she’s also one of the biggest success stories in the history of The Bachelorette. So, I’d love to introduce you guys to JoJo,” he told the contestants during that time.

For now, it seems that Chris Harris is set to remain the host of The Bachelor, and that’s just how fans like it.
