All of these social media platforms have crashed causing their users to scramble. As what typically happens any time Facebook and Instagram crash, users take to Twitter to discuss the social media apps crashing. From there, it isn’t long before the hilarious memes about everyone rushing to Twitter start to pop up.
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are ALL down
Multiple outlets and chatter on Twitter confirm Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are ALL down. Users are reporting all sorts of error messages including “poor connection,” “server error,” and “trouble loading feed.” Fortunately, social media users can rest easy knowing there is nothing wrong with their smartphones or internet connections. All of these social media platforms are just down at the moment. It appears as if all of these social media platforms crashed right around noon EST.
On Facebook, the website reads: “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”
Presently, Facebook is in the spotlight after a whistleblower accused the company of putting profit above the safety of its users.

In a popularity contest, Twitter comes in third place behind Instagram and Facebook. Without fail, Twitter is where social media users run any time Facebook and Instagram crash.
