The 2020 NBA Champions Los Angeles Lakers have been making the biggest deals in this week’s 2020 free agency. The Lakers recently made a shocking deal by signing this year’s Sixth Man of The Year, Montrezl Harrell. However, the Lakers also have let go of their key players such as Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, and JaVale McGee. Now, the Lakers are looking to add new players to replace the three. There are reports stating that they’re looking forward to obtaining a rising star from the Atlanta Hawks.
NBA: Lakers Might Trade For A Rising Star From The Atlanta Hawks
NBA analysts suggested a trade option that would benefit both the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks Hawks. The Lakers will have to send Kyle Kuzma, Talen Horton-Tucker, and a 2022 1st round pick to the Hawks, while the Hawks give John Collins to the Lakers. It’s no secret that the Hawks are building their team around Trae Young. The Hawks have yet to sign Collins in a long-term deal, which could give him the pathway to joining the Lakers. Collins is one of the best young scorers today. He’s a dominant big man and very reliable in pick-and-roll situations.
On the other hand, the Hawks will have no problem with Kyle Kuzma. He has improved so much especially with his defense. Aside from that, the Hawks will also have the chance to get a future star with their 2022 1st round pick.
Lakers Acquired New A New Key Player
The Los Angeles Lakers recently signed Marc Gasol in a two-year deal. Marc is the brother of Pau Gasol, who also played in the Los Angeles Lakers and won two championships. Some NBA analysts weren’t happy about Marc’s arrival to what has been a well-established team. However, fans believe that it was a good move for the Lakers as they recently let go of two of their biggest centers. In a televised interview, Marc shared his thoughts on joining the Lakers. According to him, he’s very excited to play with LeBron James.
NBA: Kyle Korver Might Land In The Lakers
With the recent departure of Danny Green, the Los Angeles Lakers are now lacking with a three-point specialist. Due to this, NBA analysts suggested that the team should look forward to obtaining Kyle Korver, who’s currently in the free agency pool. It’s no question that Korver is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. He’s also an ex-teammate of LeBron James in the Cleveland Cavaliers, giving them instant high chemistry when they played again together.
