TLC Dressed David Murphey In Those Now Infamous Polos
90 Day Fiance personality David Murphey was laid upon his back for six months recovering from the reinjury to his neck. His inability to move much caused him to pack on the pounds. So after a 40-pound weight gain, TLC came knocking that he would be filming his season. David had nothing to wear that would fit his new size. The newly minted reality star said even if they were to film back when he was thinner he didn’t have what was needed to wear on camera.
There are strict guidelines as to what one can wear for filming. David says, “none of the shirts I would normally wear were useable for filming because the patterns or lines would shake on the video”. So the TLC production crew stepped in. They are the ones who are responsible for David’s wardrobe choices this season. They bought him 25 solid colored shirts — a large percentage of those being polo type shirts. David’s only request was that they be a few sizes bigger. David Murphey says, “I didn’t want to wear tight shirts after gaining 40 pounds”.
