Bringing Up Bates star Michaela Bates Keilen is back with new updates amid her new life as a foster parent with Brandon. The two announced the exciting news last month, which was only a few days after Papa Bill’s passing. Michaela has yet to share the names and faces of her two foster boys, and it seems she’ll keep it that way. Bringing Up Bates: Michaela Bates Shares Future Projects For The Boys
Michaela recently uploaded a Q&A vlog where she answered several questions from fans. One of them was if she and Brandon already had a room for the boys and if they would do room tours. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, they’re currently working on it, adding that they’re trying to decorate a room to make it look like theirs. However, Michaela clarified that they won’t be doing room tours for the sake of their privacy.
Michaela Opens Up About Future Adoption Amid Fostering
During the same Q&A vlog, Michaela Bates Keilen answered a question about whether she and Brandon are looking forward to adopting their foster kids in the future. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, as much as they love to adopt the kids, there was so much “unknown” in being foster parents, adding that it’s going to take a lot of time to see what’s going to be best for the kids.
Brandon admitted that foster care is a bittersweet experience. He added that the place where the kids came from “can be fixed,” and right now is just an “unknown” situation for them. Regardless, they will remain open to what’s best for them when the time comes.

Michaela also revealed the huge support her family showed when she shared her plans to foster two kids. The Bringing Up Bates star revealed that she was overwhelmed by all the love and support. She said that the boys came into their lives so fast, but all their needs were met so quickly with the help of her family and in-laws.
Brandon and Michaela Bates Keilen also revealed that they had a virtual baby shower. Michaela was also moved by her nephews and nieces, who brought items for her two boys.
