2025 has been quite a year for Gil and Kelly Jo. They have already welcomed multiple grandbabies, with more to come. They’ve been living their best lives as grandparents. But it’s not always happiness in the family. Last month, the Bringing Up Bates stars announced the passing of Papa Bill. Kelly Jo made a lengthy tribute message for her father-in-law, saying that her heart was so broken and couldn’t write any words to express her sadness. Gil and Kelly Jo are now trying their best to heal by spending more time with Mama Jane and their grandkids. But it seems Gil is turning his attention to making huge investments.
Gil Purchases New House
Some Bringing Up Bates fans on social media discussed Lawson Bates’s latest vlog. He and Tiffany shared several updates about their lives, including their trip to Alaska and their thoughts about moving to California. Lawson even revealed that Tiffany already has a house that she rents in California. But what caught the attention of many was when Lawson revealed that his father, Gil, had just purchased a new house close to the big house. He also said that his dad is now fixing it, but he doesn’t know if he’s putting it up for rent or giving it away to one of his kids. Lawson assures fans that he and Tiffany won’t be moving to the newly purchased house of Gil, but others think Gil will only use the property as storage.
Aside from Gil’s new house, Lawson also revealed that he and Tiffany are planning to homeschool their child. They also teased that a baby number two may already be on its way after answering some questions from fans about how many kids they want to have. This led to speculations that the photo Tiffany recently uploaded with a suspicious ultrasound behind them was her second baby.
Bringing Up Bates: Gil & Kelly Jo Share Proud Moment
Kelly Jo Bates also took to IG to share a proud moment with Gil. The Bringing Up Bates stars attended the official ballerina dance of their granddaughter, Layla. The two were so happy to watch their granddaughter perform after months of practicing. According to Kelly Jo, Layla radiates happiness and joy whenever she talks about the ballet. She added, “She does everything with her whole heart, & watching her perform her dance recital was such a treat!” Kelly Jo also gushed over Layla’s enthusiasm and charm.
