A recent exorcism led to a six-year-old child’s murder. This all went down on Friday, May 30th, when a welfare check turned deadly. So, how did this happen, and who is responsible for performing such an act? Keep reading for more details.

Exorcism Leads To Child’s Murder

So many horror films have been made about exorcisms and removing the demons from the body. They tend to be performed by people in the religious sector. Yet, one mother decided that she wanted to take matters into her own hands and perform one on her six-year-old son. Ra’myl Pierre was found murdered in his home in Fort Pierce, Florida. His mother, Rhonda Paulynice, was the one who opted to perform an exorcism on her small son. The reason was “she believes she was being told by God to basically exorcise demons out of the child’s body.”

He had not been in school for two weeks, so that caused the welfare check. Upon the authorities’ arrival on the scene, Rhonda was outside. The deputy was taken to Ra’myl’s room, where he had passed in his bed. As of now, it is believed that he died on May 18th, however, an autopsy must be performed to confirm this. The next question is why Rhonda believed that he needed to be exorcised. Sheriff Richard Del Toro had this information to share:

“What we did learn in speaking with the mother is she believes she was being told by God to basically exorcise demons out of the child’s body. And when the child had stopped moving and basically passed away, at that point she felt that the child had been released from those demons, and was waiting for him to basically come back, at that time.”

Rhonda firmly believed her son would be resurrected after the demons had passed, but instead, she murdered him. She was also all over the place emotionally during this time, as she was laughing and then emotional. Per the jail that she was taken to, Rhonda was charged with:

  • second-degree murder
  • failure to report a death
  • willfully touching or moving the body, clothing or any article upon or near the body

A Horrible Tragedy

Rhonda Paulynice is being held on a $150K bond and has had prior issues. There were reports of domestic issues between Rhonda and her sister. However, her son was never involved in any of the incidents. Sheriff Del Toro wanted to make it clear that Ra’myl Pierre was an amazing spirit:

“From what I understand, this kid just lit the room up, and was loved by everybody.”

May this sweet soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing. Are you shocked that this mother attempted an exorcism that turned into a murder? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
