Last May, Kelly Jo took to IG to share exciting news about her daughter, Tori. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, her daughter just welcomed a fifth child. It was a baby boy named Slade. Kelly Jo revealed that baby Slade was born on May 29, 2024. He was a very healthy baby and weighed 6 lbs and 9oz.
She added, “We are so excited you’re here! You’ve already brought us so much joy!” Many fans also celebrated the arrival of baby Slade, but others were surprised that Tori just had another child amid her long online absence. Kelly Jo barely shared updates about baby Slade as the months went by. But she recently made a huge post for him as he celebrates a special day.
Kelly Jo Gives Surprising Update About Tori’s Son
In an IG post, Kelly Jo Bates shares huge updates about her grandson, Slade, as he celebrates his first birthday. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, Slade is one of the happiest babies she has ever seen, adding that he was practically born with a grin. She added, “No kidding, you smiled at just a few hours old & you’ve been smiling ever since! You’re so content & easily entertained!”
Kelly Jo went on to say that Slade has a little army of siblings to keep him entertained, and she’s looking forward to spending more time with him. Kelly Jo continued, “You’re growing up so fast, & we don’t want to miss one one bit of your adventures ❤️” Kelly Jo also shared new photos of baby Slade, and many were surprised to see how big he has become. Some fans also noticed his natural blonde hair.

According to Kelly Jo, she’s impressed by how committed Tori is to their faith, adding that she always had a “Godly presence” on everyone around her.
Kelly Jo even confessed that Tori Bates Smith has become more mature, and she even recommends people who need help to go seek counseling advice from her daughter.
