  1. Keep Your Tags Updated – If your tag is out of date, this is a really easy reason for police officers to pull you over. Make sure that you always keep your tag up to date.
  2. Follow The Traffic Laws – If officers are looking for an easy ticket, they will pull you over for things like running a stop sign or making an illegal turn. Make sure that are you following all traffic laws so you don’t get stopped for a simple mistake. You might not even see the officer and they can end up catching you doing something like this.
  3. Know Your Surroundings – If you drive in the same area all the time, be familiar with your surroundings. Learn where police officers sit to pull people over all the time. Make sure you know when the speed limits change so that you can follow them. It is really easy to go too fast and not notice a sign change from 45 to 35 then being 10 miles per hour over the speed limit without even realizing it. Also make sure you notice if you are in a construction zone because the speed limit does change while in these areas.
  4. Don’t Use Your Phone Will Driving – In some areas, it is illegal to use your phone while driving. Other times, an officer can pull you over because you aren’t paying attention or are even swerving due to paying attention to your phone instead of the road. The best way to prevent getting pulled over for being on your phone is to just stay off of it while driving or if you are talking on it use the hands-free option.
  5. Avoid Aggressive Driving – Road rage is a thing and you don’t want to fall a victim to it. Avoid aggressive driving. Don’t go speeding past someone, flip them off or cause a scene. This is one of the best way to avoid getting pulled over and in trouble.
