Bringing Up Bates star Tiffany Bates is getting called out following her latest IG post. The 25-year-old mom has been documenting her life as a mother to her first child, William. Tiffany and Lawson welcomed the rainbow baby in July 2024. They’ve been thankful for being blessed with a baby after suffering a miscarriage last year. However, some fans are scratching their heads over Tiffany’s recent comments about having a child. Keep reading to see why she’s facing backlash.
Bringing Up Bates: How Are Tiffany & Lawson Bates Today?
Tiffany and Lawson have been living their best lives as first-time parents. However, the Bringing Up Bates stars never forget to hustle online. They’re back making YouTube vlogs after taking a break following Hurricane Helene’s devastation, where he and some of his siblings volunteered to help victims. Lawson even uploaded a vlog featuring his trip to Florida, leaving his newborn and wife back in Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Tiffany is no longer as active as she was on social media, which may be due to her life as a mom. But she still makes IG skits with her husband. One of them was a clip of her where she thought Lawson called her “baby,” but he was actually calling their son William.
Tiffany Faces Backlash After Worthy Comments
Some Redditors are calling out Tiffany for her recent IG Stories, in which she expressed how blessed she was that she was “worthy” enough to have a child. The Bringing Up Bates star’s message raised a lot of eyebrows. According to some, it was very insensitive, especially considering that they have a family member who’s dealing with infertility issues. Others agreed and said that they were starting to unfollow Tiffany due to her controversial posts.
- “Pretty f***ed up to say that when Michaela is infertile.”
- “What a sh***y thing to say. You can express your own joy about motherhood without implying that people who don’t have that joy are unworthy. Can’t eye roll this hard enough.”
- “I guess Michaela isn’t worthy. What a rude comment.”
- “You know sometimes I feel for her and then she posts crap like this.”
- “This is such an insensitive way to say she feels blessed. Sometimes I wonder….is it a maturity issue? Is she just tonedeaf?”
Bringing Up Bates: Baby William Celebrates New Milestone
Tiffany and Lawson Bates also took to social media to celebrate baby William’s new milestone. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, their baby boy just turned 3 months old. Many were surprised by how big William had become. Others can’t help but mention how William is starting to look like his mother as well. The married couple dressed William in farmer-like clothes and took photos at a farm. “The cutest little farmer in history,” Lawson commented.
