Furthermore, Gil and Kelly Jo have been embracing every moment they can have with their married children. Recently, Carlin played pickleball with her parents and her husband. Many were also surprised when Kelly Jo went barefoot to play much better against her daughter. However, some Reddit users think their popularity and success came from their family friends.
Why Fans Think The Bates Owe The Duggars?
Some Bringing Up Bates fans on Reddit discussed why the Bates owe the Duggars. According to the poster, they think Gil and Kelly Jo were jealous of the Duggar family having a TV show. The Reddit user even mentioned Jill’s statements in her book, saying that they would appear in some of the Duggar family’s episodes in the hopes of landing a show for themselves, which seemed to have worked. However, several commenters believe that Jim Bob introduced the idea to the Bates to make a passive income and expand their ministry.
