The 57-year-old mom has been making extra efforts to keep in touch with some of her kids, especially those who no longer live in Tennessee. Bringing Up Bates: Erin Bates Gush Over Mother Kelly Jo Bates On Mother’s Day
Last week, Erin took to social media to express how thankful she is for her mother, Kelly Jo. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she was so happy that Gil and Kelly Jo came over to celebrate Mother’s Day with her. She also said that Kelly Jo is “one in a million,” and she feels so blessed to glean from her wisdom. She also sent a beautiful message to her mother-in-law, saying, “I love you and am forever indebted to you for raising the sweetest boy!” But it seems Kelly Jo is not done providing strength for Erin before they part ways.
Kelly Jo Pours Heart In Latest Life Lessons With Erin
In a YouTube post, Erin shared a 27-minute vlog featuring Kelly Jo giving life lessons. Gil’s wife talked about different aspects of life while also teaching words from the Bible. Erin can also be seen carefully listening to her mom as she talks about being mindful with words. Kelly Jo Bates later shared a story when Gil was told by one of their kids that he was too harsh while correcting someone from the family.
According to the Bringing Up Bates star, Erin also did the same thing for her through a long letter before saying that it convinced her and Gil that it’s not always what they say, but how they deliver it to the hearts of their kids. Kelly Jo also received positive comments from the viewers. Some even said that she should make her own YouTube channel.

Erin also took to social media to share a clip from Gil and Kelly Jo’s recent visit, along with some of her siblings. According to the Bringing Up Bates star, she misses living closer to her family, but being apart makes them more grateful for such reunions.

“I have the best parents, and I thank the Lord for them!” she added. The video features Gil and Kelly Jo spending quality time with some of Erin’s kids. Moments later, Chad Paine’s wife shared a clip of Kelly Jo speaking in front of hundreds of people.
